Our recommendation is to read the volumes each summer as follows: Summer Reading Journal: The Story of the World, Volume 1 before Famous Men of Rome, Vol. 2 before Famous Men of the Middle Ages, Vol. 3 before American history, and Vol. 4 before Geography III. There are 42 days of reading per book, and the journals require students to name the key events, characters, and dates for each chapter.
